Our drive through Yosemite started off quite normal however, our trip back home was anything but normal. We entered the east side of the park, drove through to the west side, and had to loop back through the mountains to return to our campground. Unfortunately, we underestimated the travel time back and ended up atop Sonora Pass (9624 ft elevation) after dark, in the snow. Scared to death, for once in my life I shut up for the FIVE hour ride back.
