hole in the wall and little bighorn battlefield

September 11, 2008

We took a little side trip to see where the Hole in the Wall Gang hid out. The location was very difficult to get to (we can see why they chose that spot) but it sure was beautiful. Continuing north to Billings, MT we stopped at Little Bighorn, the location where Custer had his last stand.

yellowstone national park and tetons

The drive from Cody, Wyoming to the East entrance of Yellowstone National Park was so pretty. We set up our camper at the only campground in Yellowstone Park with electrical and water hookups...but that was all they had. Our communication with the outside world would cease for three days. The scenery was some of the most beautiful we've ever seen and our encounters with the wild animals were very entertaining.

glacier national park, montana

September 18, 2008

The ride through Glacier National Park was beautiful, especially with the display of fall colors. Traversing Logan Pass was awesome but scary at times. The roads twisted and turned around the mountain, had no guard rails, with vertical drops further down than you could see...straight down. Around every turn was more beautiful scenery, just when you thought it couldn't be better. We crossed the Continental Divide again.
